CORPORATE VIDEO COLOR CORRECTION & GRADING

Grab Attention from the First Glance

Whether using video for internal communications, B2B, maintaining client relationships, or outbound marketing campaigns, your video vies for attention over hundreds of others.  The visual impact of your first shot is critical to grab the attention of your potential audience and encourage them to keep watching. Specifically, your video's color immediately conveys the tone, brand, level of professionalism, and the emotion of your message. Therefore, it makes sense to carefully craft the color of your video to ensure its message reaches its target audience. Here are some specific ways color has helped my clients to meet their goals:

Build Awareness, Improve Communication, and Bolster Brand Identity

  • Enhance the existing image. The overall look of your video is critical. It needs to intrigue, excite, or move the viewer to keep watching. Using a distinct color grade can instantly trigger these subconscious feelings to make your audience more receptive to the logical message the video conveys.
  • Flatter your video subjects. Ensure executives and other video subjects show their best faces. Color correction can smooth skin, hide blemishes, and infuse the face and eyes with a pleasing radiance. By including color correction as part of your video workflow, you can vastly improve the odds that your video will get the thumbs up from the key decision makers.
  • Fix Production Mistakes & Sub-Par Footage. Mistakes happen. Given the tight deadlines, thin resources, and overall stress involved with video production, the team is bound to make mistakes..(and this seems to always happen with the most critical moments, for some reason...) Colorists can often fix sub-par footage to match the professional level of the rest of the video. Put simply, a colorist can save many people's reputations and a lot of money.

Diverse Companies and Applications

I have worked as a colorist for a variety of companies on their internal communications videos, B2B campaigns, and creating video educational products. These are just a few of my past collaborators & clients. As one example of how I've improved their projects, I encourage you to review the following case study:

A Case Study:
The NeuroLeadership Institute

The NeuroLeadership Institute brought me on board to color a series of 8 educational videos they were creating for one of their clients. Learn about how color correction and grading helped them over-deliver on their client's expectations.

How does a Colorist Fit into your existing Video Production Workflow?

Every company employs a differently structured team for producing their video marketing and internal communications video content. Some operate full in-house production teams, whereas others employ almost exclusively freelancers to get the job done. I have worked extensively in both situations. Based out of Long Island City, one subway stop out of New York City, I can travel to a NYC-based office to work intimately with your team, or I can work remotely from my office space or home studio. It all depends on your preferred workflow, timeline, and budget. I also color projects for companies that are located elsewhere in the country using a remote process. All this being said, each project and company has different needs, so please don't hesitate to reach out and discuss your specifics in greater detail.
